Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself.

~Galatians 6:1

3.  Sin for a believer is something we are overcome by not something we pursue

4.  We are called to help those in sin

This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.

But we who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak, and not just please ourselves.

~Romans 15:1

Brothers and sisters, we urge you to warn those who are undisciplined (lazy, unruly). Encourage those who are timid. Take tender care of those who are weak. Be patient with everyone.

~1 Thessalonians 5:14

Anyone who rebukes a mocker will get an insult in return. Anyone who corrects the wicked will get hurt. 8 So don’t bother correcting mockers; they will only hate you. But correct the wise, and they will love you.

~Proverbs 9: 7-8

Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.

Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. 3 If you think you are too important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important.
