Think of ways to encourage one another to outbursts of love and good deeds. 25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of his coming back again is drawing near.

~ Hebrews 10: 24-25

1 – Jesus went to church

So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.

~ Luke 4:16

.

2 – The Apostles went to church

Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.

~ Acts 3:1  

.

As was Paul's custom, he went to the synagogue service, and for three Sabbaths in a row he interpreted the Scriptures to the people.

~ Acts 17:2

.

So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God's holy people. You are members of God's family. 20 We are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself.  

~Ephesians 2: 19-20

3 - Jesus loves the church

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;  

~ Ephesians 5:25

4 – Because God said to

And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of his coming back again is drawing near.  

~Hebrews 10:25

1 – The presence of the Lord is here

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.  

~Matthew 18:20

2 – Obedience brings blessings

But if you keep looking steadily into God's perfect law--the law that sets you free--and if you do what it says and don't forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.

~James 1:25

.

3 – Keeps us on track  

He is the one who gave these gifts to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. 12 Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ, 13 until we come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God's Son that we will be mature and full grown in the Lord, measuring up to the full stature of Christ.
