Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised. ~ Proverbs 31:30

.

Children, obey your parents because you belong to the Lord, for this is the right thing to do. 2 "Honor your father and mother." This is the first commandment with a promise: 3 If you honor your father and mother, "things will go well for you, and you will have a long life on the earth." ~ Ephesians 6:1-3

.

1. Jesus had a mom & He loved her

.

Standing near the cross were Jesus' mother, and his mother's sister, Mary (the wife of Clopas), and Mary Magdalene. 26 When Jesus saw his mother standing there beside the disciple he loved, he said to her, "Dear woman, here is your son."  27 And he said to this disciple, "Here is your mother." And from then on this disciple took her into his home.   ~ John 19:25-27

.

2. You can’t be right with God and wrong with mom

.

Honor your father and mother. Then you will live a long, full life in the land the LORD your God is giving you. ~ Exodus 20:12

.

And we will receive whatever we request because we obey him and do the things that please him.   ~ 1 John 3:22

.

3. Real beauty is on the inside

.

Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised. 31 Reward her for all she has done. Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.  ~ Proverbs 31:30-31

.

You should be known for the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God. ~ 1 Peter 3:4
